Some Great Writers' Aid Books

If you haven't had the opportunity to check out K.W. Weiland's books on writing, you might want to take a look. Her website is Helping Writers Become Authors and she does a great job helping authors. She recently released workbooks that tie in with her Writing Your Novel and Structuring Your Novel books. All four are available as eBooks, or in print.

She also wrote an annotated Jane Eyre. I thought it was probably another of those books that tell you about how people lived during the period, or the old-fashioned meaning of words, like those books I tried to avoid in high school. No, Ms. Weiland's Annotated Jane Eyre is a book for writers by a writer. She explains story hooks, character development, story arc development, and why certain aspects work in the book. She uses Jane Eyre as a teaching tool to learn your craft. If you're wary of buying another writing book that sounds too good to be true, try the Kindle sample to get a taste of what you'll learn. If you're a bargain hunter for writing books, check out the K.m. Weiland package at WritersDigest Shop.
It includes printed copies of Writing Your Novel and Structuring your Novel, and the Annotated Jane Eyre. Even better, it also includes two webinars that tie-in with the Outlining and Structuring books, all for $60.
